We need to observe the following guidelines when attending Mass:-

Don't attend if you or a member of your household is unwell with a cold, flu-like illness, cough or fever. Stay at home and follow one of the live-streamed Masses if you can at https://www.portsmouthdiocese.org.uk/live-mass

You need to book a place - see the "How to Book for Mass" section of this website.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of Mass.

Bring your own face mask or face covering and wear it at all times except for Holy Communion - which will be under one kind (the Host).facemask

hsnd sanitizer

Use the automatic hand sanitizer at the church entrance

when entering and leaving (or use your own sanitizer).

Follow the instructions of the stewards who will direct you where to sit, at Holy Communion, and on exiting the church.

Don't kneel in the pews as this will make you too close to anyone sitting in the pew in front of you, sit in the marked places as directed by the stewards

and please observe social distancing at all times.

There will be a box for offertory and other collections at the entrance to St Michael's Church and the exit of St Oswald's.

These measures are to make sure everyone feels safe when attending church. Let us all work together, follow the guidelines and be considerate of each other as we celebrate together in thanksgiving to God for the gift of the Eucharist.
